RB: "This 5.2 metre aluminium, inflatable is the pride of the new ferry service planned between Caloundra and Brisbane due to start late next month.

The vessel's low draught means it will be able to traverse the Pumicestone Passage stopping at Bribie Island and Redcliffe.

The designer says that the boat also has one very enviiable quality"

MJ: "It's also foam filled; closed cell foam filled so its pretty much built like a cork, it can't sink"

RB " the vessel's 4 metre baby brother went through an unorthodox buoyancy test on the weekend; Super Stable, and Unsinkable Adventure Safety Boat a load of rugby union players were still unable to put it to shame if anything at all was in danger it was the outboard motor"

sevuns5h.jpg ONLOOKER: "to hold 20 men like that and not go down or tip over, well that's just fantastic"

RB: "Mr Jessop says the daily ferry trip will suit commuters to Brisbane, tourists and revellers.

sev71s.jpg They're hoping to depart from the Tripcony Jetty at Golden Beach. The journey is expected to take one and a half hours and cost $21 one way"
